Sequencias
de Bimba
Mestre Bimba created a set of prearranged sequences
in order to facilitate the learning of Capoeira Regional in
his academy. They utilize a simplified form of logical attacks,
defense, and movements of counter attack as a training tool.
The student is able to learn how to play with confidence and
is able to see how moves are properly executed.
Initiated from the ginga, the moves should be
executed at a fast pace. Keep in mind that the sequences should
be practiced at a slower speed until mastered and moves can
be executed without hesitation. Remember to execute each move
with proper technique. In the end, strive for continuous movement
and quick response.
Here are the first 3 of Bimba’s 8 sequencias
